Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

January 3rd, 2008 by eden

Wow, my first Christmas. So exciting! I got to spend a whole week with NeNe and Auntie Al. I got to play with some new toys, although some of them scared me a little. I’ll post some pics soon. Looking back at my 2007, a lot happened. I’ve been one busy little baby.

  • started eating real food – mommy tries to sneak carrots into my pears, but I’m on to her
  • I love to dance
  • I can pick up Mr. Binky and put it in my mouth all by myself
  • I learned to roll (both ways now, but it’s not so much fun)
  • I learned to pull myself up (on the crib and on some toys) – mommy made daddy lower the crib for some reason
  • Mommy and daddy think I say “Bob” and “Dad”, but really, I’m just announcing my poopie.
  • I learned the value of sleeping in – a girl needs her rest to face a day full of challenges

I can’t wait to see what 2008 brings. I wonder what it’s 2008 *of*? 2008 Mr. Binky’s? *that* would be great! 2008 poopie diapers? I’m sure I’ve hit that many by now.

Happy Turkeys!

November 25th, 2007 by eden

Hello everyone!  It’s been a long time since I posted a picture.  Daddy and mommy stopped taking so many pictures.  Anyway, we went to auntie Linda and uncle David’s house for Thanksgiving.  It was so much fun to play with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles.   I had some yummy sweet potatoes, too!  I can’t wait until next year, when I get to eat with everyone else.

Binky Binky Binky, can’t you see…

October 14th, 2007 by eden

Mr. Binky has been with me for as long as I can remember.  The last two days, he hasn’t been around so much.  I guess I don’t really mind, since I barely missed him.  There were a few times I really needed him, though.  Sure enough, he was there.  I hope he understands that I don’t need him around all the time.  I don’t want to hurt his feelings.

Mommy = Sleep, Daddy = Play

October 11th, 2007 by eden

I used to like going to sleep after daddy fed me at night.  He was warm and snug.  Not anymore, though.  Daddy needs to understand that.  I prefer mommy.  I mean, you’d think he’d get it when I cry non-stop when he holds me at bedtime.  He keeps trying, and I keep telling him, “mommy.  Mo-o-o-o-mmy.  M.O.M.M.Y.”  Ugh.  Maybe he’ll figure it out.  I only want to see him when it’s play time!

shopping and sleeping

October 2nd, 2007 by eden

A lot of people wonder who helps me with my blog. I guess it’s easy to assume that it’s mommy, since she spends the most time with me. In reality, daddy is the one that keeps things working under the hood here. Daddy teaches me all about this technology stuff and makes sure my blog looks good. But daddy isn’t all technology, he likes to shop, too. We went to the outlets this weekend. I got caught sucking my thumb…

Some Notes…

September 25th, 2007 by eden

So, some have asked how I make this blog. Well, I’m using WordPress. It’s pretty cool, and free. You can’t beat free. It’s free in the sense of “free milk” and “freedom”. I’m a huge fan of OpenSource. When I get my own computer, I’ll probably run Linux or one of the BSD variants. For all the photos you see on the site, I use the Gimp. It’s a free Photoshop clone. Daddy says Photoshop is too expensive, and Gimp does just about everything I’d need from Photoshop anyway. You can try it out, too!

Okay, that’s enough about software. Where’s my milk?

Toes…

September 23rd, 2007 by eden

So, I haven’t been blogging much these days.  Actually, it’s because daddy isn’t posting my stuff.  Silly daddy.  I’ve made a new  discovery.  I found these wonderful little things mommy calls “piggies”.  They look just yummy!  What happens to the one who goes to the supermarket?  Does he buy the roast beef?  Did he remember his discount card?  Will he get the free turkey?  Do piggies eat roast beef?  We may never know.

Piggies!

I’ve been pretty busy these days.  I’ve learned to roll over.  At least to my left, anyway.  I’m not quite sure what to do once I get on my tummy, so I’m sure to let mommy and daddy know when I get bored of it.  In between rollovers, I just hang.

I’ve also learned to grab things with my hands.  I’ve been using this to help my old friend, Mr. Lion, to work out.  He really needs to stretch out.  He’s fairly high-tone, so mommy says.  I think a few more weeks of solid regimen and he’ll be good.

100

August 23rd, 2007 by eden

On August 20, 2007, I turned 100 days old. Wow. I’m really old now, huh? Mommy and daddy are putting together something called a slideshow and an album. I guess I’ll know what those are once I learn to read.

a Day in the Life…

August 10th, 2007 by eden

Hey everyone. You may be wondering what I do all day long. Here’s a typical day for me…

Rockin’ out to some tunes

I like to just chill and listen to the tunes. Some of my favorites are showtunes and classical music.

bumbo time…

Here’s me spending some time in the Bumbo. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s hard work.

blogging

Here I am trying to think up something profound for my blog.

bubbles

But, most of the time, I like to play with my spit. Here I am making bubbles. Yay!!

sooooothing…

July 24th, 2007 by eden

I’ve been very dependent on my Mr. Binky to get me through the rough times. Lately, though, I’ve found these 2 other things that are kinda like Mr. Binky, but they’re different. Apparently, those things at the end of my arms are pretty good to put in my mouth. And, if they fall out, I can put them back in. Mommy and daddy find this hilarious. Not sure why, but hey, whatever makes them smile.
