A Hard Day’s Night…

May 23rd, 2007 by eden

Last night was pretty tough. It started out well with a visit from Abby. She’s pretty cool. For some reason, I had really bad gas. I think it has something to do with an underdeveloped gastrointestinal system, whatever that is. Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night soaked in my own spit-up, a fully loaded diaper, and I can’t stop crying. Finally, sweet relief came when mommy held me and helped me “vent”. As a result, I think I’m sleeping in today.

poor eden! oh, that pesky GI system! as if it’s not hard enough being a newborn! one of mommmy’s friends recommended milicon for gas, but they never used it on me. was your diaper “explosive”? ha ha ha i remember those days when it would take both mommy & daddy to change me (and my clothes & the changing pad) after i pooped! well, hope you (& your mom) catch some zzzs today!

@kara h. I haven’t had an explosive diaper yet, but I do enjoy raising so much fuss it takes both mommy and daddy to change me. I don’t like to be changed. I’d rather sit in my own mess for a long time. Daddy says he thinks that these new diapers absorb moisture so fast, that I don’t even know I’m wet. I miss that. I want to know when I’ve peed. It’s so not fair!

For Isaiah, I had to cut out cruciferous vegetables while breastfeeding. Everytime I had cabbage, broccoli, or something like that he was up at night. THe worse was Wendy’s chilli’s. But everything we eat is like cruciferous veggies. SO I ate a lot of asparagus.
